Five Four recently joined forces with Los Angeles based street artists, Cyrcle. Their first solo art show is about to debut tomorrow night, August 25th, in Los Angeles.
For the special occasion, we wanted to create something special that we felt represented both of our brands.
Charlie Chaplin’s character, mystique, and his everlasting effect on show business has been a great influence to the world of film, and in my opinion, design in general. His unique personality, overall persona, and talent has always fascinated me ever since I was a kid. His impact that he’s had on Los Angeles culture can be seen in the films made today, down all the way to the street impersonators you see on Hollywood Blvd. His myth & persona truly never died and has been immortalized to this day by many people. Stylistically, his mustache, top hat, jacket and baggy pants always seemed to me as pretty cool. As someone who takes pride in their personal style, I always appreciate unique style, whether unique in simplicity or eccentric like Charlie Chaplin’s was.
Since Cyrcle has cited Chaplin in their personal works before, we thought it would be a perfect marriage of style, influence, Los Angeles culture, immortality, and art.
Below you will see the actual results of our collaborative work. The concept was created as a joint effort by Five Four and Cyrcle, and executed and taken to the next level by the guys from Cyrcle.
Here is “The Illusionist” fine art piece. Notice both sides of the piece. On one side is Chaplin’s face, and on the other is his skull. Mustache stays consistent throughout.

For the collaboration, we decided to make a tee and 25 jeans.
The tee is a print of Chaplin’s skull with mustache, and We Never Die! words. The tee is available online and at Five Four Culver City, for $19.99

The jeans are super limited, as we only made 25 pieces total. Each jean is unique from the other, and hand painted by Cyrcle. They are available in sizes 30-36, and priced at $80.00. They will be available at Five Four Culver City exclusively.

Here is the mural that went up on Las Palmas / Hollywood.

Here are some of the other works from their debut solo show, We Never Die. Some of their other collaborations on this show include pieces with David Flores and Gosha to name a few.

Lastly, here’s the invite for the debut show tomorrow night, Thursday August 25th.
